Who Are We?

Potter at Work

People have asked us the past four years to host pottery classes once they learn we make ceramics. We never did, because we aren't professionally trained. We didn't graduate with a degree in this field or master any sort of technique or course to become certified.  We went on a skiing trip gone wrong and stumbled into a 3-hour pottery class and loved it. We are self-taught. We are a wife, a husband and a teenage boy. We don't have anything behind our names or background that indicate we are "able" to teach anyone anything. But... we have the resources. We have the ability, the space, and the passion for it that we can are willing to invite anyone who doesn't see our "lack of experience" as a problem to come join us in showing you how to make some cool stuff!

W.H.I.M. stands for With Him In Mind—a reminder of faith, family, and finding light in challenging times. What started as a way to bring joy to our 10-year-old son during the early days of "isolation" during the COVID pandemic quickly became a creative outlet for our family. From a $99 pottery wheel and a block of clay to a kiln, one pottery class, and a few YouTube "how-to" videos, we poured our hearts into this art—leaving a mark of faith on many of our pieces, or praying over those that don’t bear one before they go out the door. Through our pottery, we share our story, our hope, and a bit of peace with others.

Thank you for being part of it.
